Introducing Tin Pan
Tin Pan Productions is a UK-based production company founded by BAFTA nominated director, Ed Blum. We have made films for a wide variety of businesses, of different shapes and sizes across the world, who operate within a range of industries and sectors.
We have worked with some of the UK's largest blue chip companies, including Barclays, HSBC and Glaxo Smith Kline, as well as much smaller organisations. We have created mini documentaries, interviewed CEOs, filmed conferences, and created sizzling social media. We have often been brought into companies where they have never used video before and built up their whole strategy, creating a video library which they can draw on for years.
Within larger businesses, projects are often commissioned by a range of departments including Communications, Marketing, Business Development, Human Resources, and Diversity & Inclusion, to convey their messages both internally and externally.
Ed Blum is a BAFTA-nominated director, who started his career in broadcast television as a business journalist for the BBC. He went on to produce numerous programmes for both the BBC and Channel 4, eventually serving as Deputy Editor for BBC News and Current Affairs Development. After leaving the BBC, he directed 'Scenes of a Sexual Nature', starring Tom Hardy and Ewan McGregor, which was nominated for a British Independent Film Award. His short film, 'The Last Post', received a BAFTA nomination.
Ed set up Tin Pan to produce corporate films and video content for businesses who want to harness the power of video as part of their communications strategy. Bringing with him many years' of journalistic experience, Ed is particularly skilled at working with professional organisations to construct a compelling story, develop creative visuals and engaging solutions to subjects that are sometimes seen as complex and difficult to convey.
